Rangayan Art Gallery preview show

Today was the last day for  preview of my show (to be conducted Jaipur in January 09) in my home city Bhopal at Rangayan Art Gallery.  Robin David the noted sculptor inaugurated the show. This was a week long event which along with many other things at home front kept me on my toes.  Finally got time to blog about it.

I have been long associated with Dhoomimal Art Gallery,  in Delhi. I was pleasently surprised when i noticed my works on their newly created website.  It is humbling to find my name alongside Souza, Laxma Gaud, MF Hussain and many others.

inspiration - moods of nature

I draw my inspiration from little walks of life. Many a times which go unnoticed. when was last time you noticed stopover in life when a sudden breeze transformed itself into raindrops. Aroma of dry thirsty soil soaking these greedily. Birds rushing to their nests with their loved ones, Small children coming back from school trying to cope with their little umbrellas being swept away, and a lukewarm sunshine that follows. Slowly the life takes on its pace again. Various colours come on the horizon every dusk and dawn. A few days later a lush green engulfs the scene. I have tried to capture these colours, and the emotions it evokes on my canvas.

God of Monsoon rain is bestowing his grace since past 2 days. This is the view from my home backyard.

Painting Exhibition in Triveni Kala Sangam, New Delhi

Quite excited about my solo show in Triveni Kala Sangam,
from 25 aug 08 - 3 sep 08. Mostly this will be containing my small works. The theme of painting will be "Nature". (Monsoon,Spring,Summer ).

Some life style changes

A few days ago bought a Zen Estillo for myself. I do not know driving but i am learning .. and soon i will not have to depend on anyone.

Secondly there are a few changes in my website www.BhawanaChoudhary.com
for eg having a selected 9 paintings on a page instead of having a heapful.

I really liked the fiery Gulmohar which was at the home page.
In India, when this tree blossoms its as if the whole tree is on FIRE. The present one on homepage is "First Birth" - a shade too blue.
